Regina Abuyuan is a Manila-based writer, National Book Award-winning editor, and educator.
She is a seasoned magazine and book editor, having helmed as chief editor five glossies—one environmental magazine, three parenting/women’s titles, one for the maritime community—and three best-selling books, including Agam: Filipino Narratives on Uncertainty and Climate Change, a winner in the 34th National Book Awards for Best Anthology in the English Language, and Finalist in Book Design.
She is currently editor-in-chief of Seafarer Asia Magazine, a bi-monthly business-lifestyle glossy for the maritime industry.
Her latest broadsheet post was editor of Business Agenda, a weekly section of Manila Bulletin, the oldest newspaper in the Philippines. She also edits technical publications for international groups such as Oxfam. She is an advocate of non-traditional learning and is executive director of Blended Learning Services, Inc., which runs Blended Learning Center-Manila, a center that provides homeschooling support and enrichment programs for the gifted and talented.
She also helps run a pub called Fred’s Revolucion in Cubao Expo, Manila, and continues to write prolifically on a wide range of subjects for different outlets.
